BIDDEFORD, Maine – The University of New England women's soccer team got off to a great start to the season with a 4-0 victory over Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Thursday evening at Hazard Field.

The Nor'easters scored three of their goals in the first half beginning with a tally by Lauren Beitler just 2:14 into play. Tori Keyes crossed a long pass into Beitler who buried a shot from the top of the box to give UNE an early lead.

Keyes assisted on the Nor'easters next goal as she fed it to Emily Martin for the score off a pass from Bella Reil in the 20th minute [Watch]. Marie Hoehner headed home a corner from the foot of Reil in the 27th minute to put UNE in front 3-0 at halftime.

Karley Belisle knocked in her first career goal in the 82nd minutes with help from Olivia King and Brooke Pierotti.
