STANDISH, ME. – Saint Joseph's College (8-8-2, 7-5-1) blanked Anna Maria College (9-6-2, 7-5-2), 2-0, in what was the regular season finale for both programs on Tuesday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Monks kicked off the scoring in the 43rd minute when freshman Godin Ndayishmiye knocked in a ball from sophomore Kyle Clairmont.
The 1-0 edge held true until the 71st minute when senior Gus Ford netted a penalty kick goal.
TEAM STATS:
Saint Joseph's maintained the lead in shots (9-6), shots on goal (3-2), and corner kicks (7-2) in the triumph.
THE KEEPERS:
SJC senior Liam Foley posted a pair of saves in a shutout effort while Anna Maria netminder Valter Santiago registered 1 stop in a losing effort.
