HOOKSETT, N.H. – The Saint Joseph's College Men's and Women's Track and Field teams kicked off their 2024 Outdoor season at the SNHU Spring Invite. This meet was a non-scoring event.

The day was highlighted by a collection of program records being broken. Senior Brooklyn Goff set a new record in the Long Jump with her 5.08m effort. Freshman Audrey Bilodeau claimed the new 400-meter Hurdle record with her 1:09.08 effort. For the men, Haytham Ramadan set a new 800-meter run record clocking in at 1:59.28. Both men's relays, the 4x400 and 4x100, also set new program records to cap the day with a total of five Saint Joseph's College records being broken.

THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:

• Senior Brooklyn Goff finished first in the Long Jump with her program record-breaking jump of 5.08m (16'8") and placed third in her 100-meter Hurdles effort (16.92)
• Freshman Audrey Bilodeau placed second in the 400-meter hurdles to set a new program record of 1:09.08
• Senior Abby O'Brien placed fifth in the Discus (29.89m / 98'1") and eighth in the Hammer Throw (33.40m / 109' 7")
• Senior Aaliyah WilsonFalcone placed eighth in the Shot Put (9.43m / 30' 11.25") and 12th in her Javelin effort (23.91m / 78' 5")
• Freshman Ava Smart finished ninth in the 400-meter dash clocking in at 1:06.93
• Freshman Alexis Cowan competed in the Triple Jump to finish sixth (9.45m / 31'0"). Cowan also placed seventh in the Long Jump (4.25m / 13' 11.5") and 20th in the 100-meter dash (14.56)
• Freshman Jordan Huntley finished 12th in the 400-meter run with a mark of 1:10.49
• Junior Sarah Joe set new personal bests in every one of her events in today's competition. Joe competed in the Hammer Throw (28.74m / 94' 3") for 14th, Shot Put (7.72m / 25'4") to place 18th, and Discus for a mark of 21.41m (70'3") for 19th
• Freshman Selena Huot placed ninth in the Long Jump (3.41m / 11'2.25") and 22nd in the 100-meter dash (15.38)
• Freshman Samira Mohamed was eleventh in the Long Jump (3.08m / 10'1.25") and 31st in the 100-meter dash (17.67)
• Freshman Haley Lang competed in all the throwing events in today's event. Lang placed 15th in the Discus (23.85m / 78'3"), 16th in the Javelin (20.02m / 65'8"), and 22nd in the Shot Put 96.92m /. 22' 8.5")

THE RUNDOWN – MEN:

• Sophomore Abdirizak Abukar placed first in the 200-meter run with a time of 22.62
• Junior Dylan Dickey placed second in the Javelin (58.01m / 190'4") and eighth in the Discus Throw (34.20m / 112' 2")
• Freshman Haytham Ramadan clocked in a new school record in the 800-meter run with a third-place finish of 1:59.28
• Tyler Ricker ran the 400-meter run to place third overall clocking in at 52.20
• Freshman Diamond Doe finished third in the 200-meter run with a time of 23.15
• Freshman Jacob Schmader ended the day with a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter run with a mark of 52.38
• Freshman Devonte Prom placed fourth overall in the Triple Jump (11.81m / 38'9") and finished eleventh in the Long Jump (5.79m / 19'0")
• Freshman Jacob Schmader placed fourth overall in the 400-meter run (52.38)
• Freshman Christopher Godefory placed fifth in the Triple Jump with a mark of 10.88m (35' 8.5") and tenth in the 110-meter Hurdles for 21.40
• Sophomore Jacob Pelletier competed in the 5000-meter run to place sixth overall with a time of 16:35
• Freshman Gehrig Hatch clocked a 1:07.7 in his 400-meter Hurdle debut to place seventh
• Senior Wesley Hundley had a personal best in the Hammer Throw for a ninth-place finish (33.27m / 109' 2"). Hundley also threw the Shot Put for a mark of 10.51m (34' 5.75") to place 13th
• Junior John McManus competed in the 800-meter run clocking in at 2:05.20 to finish eleventh
• Sophomore Seth Quinney placed 12th in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 31.41m (103'1")
• Freshman Andrew James collected a pair of twelfth-place finishes in the Shot Put (10.75m / 35' 3.25") and Discus Throw (30.42m / 99' 10")
• Senior Nick Carmosino placed 15th in the 5000-meter run to clock in at 18:02.66
• Sophomore Alexander Greslick competed in the Shot Put (9.54m / 31'3.75), Hammer Throw (18.57m / 60' 11"), and Javelin (17.11m / 56' 2") placing 18th in each effort
• Freshman Carl Peters placed 20th in the 100-meter dash (12.16)
• Freshman Emilson Zocolo placed 22nd in the 1500-meter run (4:46.25)
• Freshman Harrison Fields placed 27th in the 1500-meter run (5:10.57)
• Sophomore Brayden Grant placed 28th in the 800-meter run (2:13.05)

COACH QUOTABLE

Director and Head Coach Mike Burleson kicked off his first outdoor season with today's event. "Definitely excited to be back on the track competing. We took advantage of the sunshine and put down some good marks across the board", adds Burleson. "It's nice to walk away with 5 school records and put down some impressive performances for this early in the season. Impressed with where we are at with the limited outdoor practices and excited to see where we will be in a few weeks."
