SJC Men First, Women Third, at the Monks Invitational

STANDISH, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College outdoor track & field program hosted the two-day Monks Invitational at the SJC Athletics Complex on Saturday and Sunday. The SJC men topped the 13-team field with 184.50 points while the Monks' women finished third with 84 points.

FOR THE RECORD:

  • Senior Ryan Farr (Gorham, Maine) crushed his previous 400-Meter dash program record with a 49.81 effort
  • Senior Abby O'Brien (Gorham, Maine) launched the Hammer for a new program record mark of 8.77m
  • Freshman Haytham Ramadan (Khartoum, Sudan) won the 1500-Meter run with a team-record 4:12.37
  • Senior Brooklyn Goff (Biddeford, Maine) broke two records in her High Jump (1.57m) and Heptathlon (3872) efforts
  • Sophomore Jacob Pelletier (Augusta, Maine) won the 10000-Meter run setting a new program record with his 34:36.57 mark

THE RUNDOWN – MEN:

  • Freshman Haytham Ramadan (Khartoum, Sudan) won the 1500-Meter run with a team-record 4:12.37 time and also placed first in the 800-Meter run with a 2:00.79 performance
  • Senior Ryan Farr (Gorham, Maine) topped the 400-Meter dash field with a 49.81 effort and won the 200-Meter dash with a 23.23 time
  • Junior Dylan Dickey (Laconia, N.H.) clobbered the Javelin Throw field with a 54.78 meter heave, over 14 meters farther than that of the second-place finisher. Dickey also placed tenth in the Discus Throw with his 30.91 meter mark
  • Sophomore Jacob Pelletier (Augusta, Maine) won the 10000-Meter run setting a new program record with his 34:36.57 mark
  • Freshman Younton Doe (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished second overall in the 200-Meter dash with a 23.31 effort and placed third overall in the 100-Meter dash
  • Freshman Andrew James (Bar Harbor, Maine) chucked the Shot Put for a second place finishing mark of 12.60m
  • Senior Wesley Hundley (Kennebunk, Maine) threw the Hammer Throw for third place (40.37m) and seventh in the Shot Put (11.51m)
  • Freshman Matthew Corriveau (Nottingham, N.H.) finished third in the High Jump (1.72m), fourth in the Long Jump (6.17m) and fourth in the 200-Meter dash (23.66)
  • Freshman Jacob Schmader (Standish, Maine) finished with a time of 51.31 in the 400-Meter run to place third. The rookie also finished sixth in the 200-Meter dash with his 24.11 mark
  • Junior Ryan Graham (Hopkinton, N.H.) placed fourth in the 5000-Meter run with his 16:47 effort
  • Senior Nick Carmosino (Acton, Mass.) set a new personal best mark in the 3000-Meter Steeplechase to finish fifth (11:18.43)
  • Sophomore Alexey Seredin (Peaks Island, Maine) followed in behind his teammate for a sixth place finish in his Steeplechase effort (11:20.84)
  • Freshman Devonte Prom (Portland, Maine) jumped for a fourth place finish in the Triple Jump (11.93m) and sixth place finish in the Long Jump (6.07m)
  • Sophomore Noah Batoosingh (Scarborough, Maine) finished fifth in the 200-Meter dash (24.05) and sixth in the 100-Meter dash (11.73)
  • Freshman Christopher Godefroy (Windsor Locks, Conn.) placed sixth in the 110 hurdles for a personal best time of 19.03
  • Sophomore Brayden Grant (Rochester, N.H.) finished sixth in the Pole Vault (2.30m)
  • Freshman Harrison Fields (Gray, Maine) also finished sixth in his Pole Vault effort (2.30m)
  • Sophomore Seth Quinney (Northwood, N.H.) placed eighth in the Hammer Throw (34.97m) and ninth in the Shot Put (11.15m)
  • Junior Tyler Ricker (Montpelier, Vt.) topped the day with a fourth place finish in the 400-Meter dash with a 51.51 mark and placed tenth in the 200-Meter dash with his 24.40 effort
  • Junior John McManus (Shrewsbury, Mass.) competed in the 800-Meter run with a 2:06.15 finishing mark for sixth
  • Junior Griffin Cooney (Port Orange, Fla.) placed eighth in the 800-Meter run clocking in at 2:07.83
  • Freshman Carl Peters (Northwood, N.H.)  placed eighth overall in the 100-Meter dash with his 11.81 effort. Peters also competed in the Long Jump finishing the day with a 5.23 meter jump

 

THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:

  • Senior Brooklyn Goff (Biddeford, Maine) won six of her seven Heptathlon events (100-Hurdles, High Jump, 200-Meter, Long Jump, Javelin, and 800-Meter) and placed second in the Shot Put; she won versus the five-team field with 3,872 points, 755 ahead of the runner-up. She now holds the new program record for the High Jump and Heptathlon with this weekend's efforts
  • Freshman Alexis Cowan (Nottingham, N.H.) won the Long Jump with a 4.79m leap and topped the Triple Jump field with a 10.04m effort
  • Senior Abby O'Brien (Gorham, Maine) set a program record in her second place Hammer Throw performance with a mark of 38.77m. O'Brien also placed fifth in the Discus Throw with a 31.21m effort
  • Freshman Audrey Bilodeau (Lewiston, Maine) placed fourth overall in the 400 Hurdles with a time of 1:12.93
  • Freshman Breya Whitman (Auburn, Maine) finished fourth in her High Jump efforts for a 1.42m mark
  • Freshman Jordan Huntley (Stafford Springs, Conn.) finished fifth with her Pole Vault effort (1.84m)
  • Freshman Ava Smart (South Portland, Maine) competed in the 400-Meter Run to place sixth overall with a mark of 1:06.18
  • Freshman Alayah Schmitz (Scarborough, Maine) finished sixth in her Long Jump efforts to leap for 4.06m
  • Senior Aaliyah WilsonFalcone (Winthrop, Maine) captured a pair of seventh place finishes in the Javelin (28.73m) and Long Jump (4.01m)
  • Freshman Selena Huot (Biddeford, Maine) placed eighth in the Long Jump with her 3.96m mark
  • Freshman Samira Mohamed (Westbrook, Maine) finished the meet with a ninth place effort in Long Jump for a final jump of 3.46m
  • Sophomore Alexia Young (Rochester, N.H.) placed seventh in her 800-meter run debut for a time of 2:42.80
