2022:The freshman pitcher was a dominant force all season long for the Monks. Making 11 appearances and eight starts. He put up a 6-1 record with a 1.05 era in 43 innings pitched. He struck out 43 batters on the year posting a 9.00 K/9 and held hitters to a .191 batting average. In his first career start, he picked up a win, going five shutout innings. Fanning eight batters and only allowing one hit to Husson on March 10th. His dominance continued as he won each of his last five starts. On May 7th, he threw seven scoreless innings against Anna Maria in the victory.

 
Why Saint Joseph's? 
I decided to attend SJC for the opportunity to play baseball and because of the feeling of community. 

High School: Played baseball and basketball at Thomaston High School...earned a varsity letter as a freshman...also claimed baseball and basketball pins...his team advanced to the Class S Baseball Playoffs in 2019 and 2021...did not report any noteworthy statistics his senior year due to an injury...listed on the Academic Honor Roll throughout high school and named as the Student of the Month twice...played club for the Connecticut Gamecocks for three years and the Hit Club for two years...helped the Hit Club win the 2016 14U Cooperstown Backyard Sports Tournament...also helped the Gamecocks win the 2020 17U War at the Shore Tournament and 2021 18U Southington Independence Day Tournament Championships. 

Community Service: Made and donated fleece blankets for children...worked at youth baseball camps...helped the baseball team through the 2021 season scoring and keeping pitches.  

Personal: Jason Scott Johnson, son of Lisa and Scott Johnson...has one sister, Cheryl Johnson.
