Saint Joseph's College of Maine

2023: The sophomore made six appearances on the season tallying 5.1 innings. Recording four strikeouts and posting a 5.06 ERA. April 7th against Clark, he tallied two innings, striking out two and allowing one hit in the win.

2022: Appeared in nine games as a freshman. He tallied 10 innings pitched while striking out four batters. On April 28th, he made his first career start, going two innings while giving up one run in the win over Maine Farmington. 

Why Saint Joseph's? I loved the school when I visited the campus and loved the baseball program. 

High School: Played baseball at Plymouth North High School...selected as a team captain...earned Patriot League All-Star honors...named as a Sophomore Select All-Star...tossed a no-hitter versus Marshfield High School during his senior season...listed on the Academic Honor Roll twice during his senior year...played club for Nokona Chiefs 17U. 

Community Service: Youth basketball volunteer coaching and high school baseball clinics for youth. 

Personal: Matthew Joseph Murphy, son of Jennifer and Steven Murphy...has one brother, Jonathan.
