Biography

2017: The junior pitcher started two of the 13 games he pitched in...had a 4-0 record while tossing 34.1 innings and striking out 27...held opponents to a .246 average and a K/9 average of 7.08...after a rough two starts, went 26 innings in a row without giving up a run...went 3.1 innings in relief at Husson on March 30th, striking out three and allowing no runs...went four innings in relief against Lasell on April 8th, striking out two and allowing no runs...went three shutout innings at Endicott on April 11th, striking out three and allowing no run...went 3.2 relief innings on April 14th at Nichols, striking out three and allowing no runs...struck out five in a relief appearance against Endicott on April 18th, allowing no runs in 2.1 innings...struck out three on April 28th in two innings at Rivier.

2016: Appeared in seven games for the Monks' as a sophomore pitcher - held a 4.50 ERA over six innings on the mound...collected a 1-0 record with seven strikeouts during his second collegiate campaign...also held opponents to a .280 batting average during his seven appearances...got his first win of the season vs. Albertus Magnus on April 24th...tossing one inning and striking out all three of the batters he faced...pitched an inning of relief in a huge GNAC Tournament win vs. JWU on May 6th...struck out one in the 8-1 victory. 

2015: Appeared in five games for the Monks as a freshman…over 5 innings pitched, posted a 7.20 ERA…only allowed seven hits, three walks, and four earned runs…struck out six batters…held opponents to a .304 batting average, only allowed two extra base hits…made his season debut on March 11th versus Thomas More College, tossed two innings while striking out a season-high five batters, only walking one, and allowing no runs…tossed an inning of relief versus Bates College on April 6th, striking out one while not walking a single batter…threw one inning of relief versus Anna Maria on April 11th only allowing one earned run…tossed 1/3 of an inning against Southern Maine on April 19th.

High School: Played two years of varsity baseball under Mike Patch at Hanover High School, while helping team to Division 3 South Playoffs both years…also played basketball.

Personal: Philip John LeVangie, born in Boston Mass…son of Philip and JackieLeVangie…older brother to Tara and Shannon…majoring in Communications and minoring in Business.
