A fine example for his teammates with outstanding leadershipqualities, Stephen Gorsun will serve as a captain for St. Joe'sduring his senior season. Stephan played his high school baseballat Marshwood High School in South Berwick, Maine.

Steve's speed, versatility and positive attitude make him a keyasset for the Monks. In his tenure at St. Joe's Stephan has playeda backup role in the outfield and is often the first pinch runneroff the bench for Coach Sanborn. The Monks skipper on Steve; "Steveis an important member of our ball club. He has many leadershipqualities both on and off the field. It is very valuable to be ableto bring someone off the bench whom you can trust to run the baseswisely. Steve also plays a solid outfield and is a contact hitterwho can handle the bat. Stephan is a great student and is wellrespected on campus - he is a fine example for our youngerplayers."

Stephan is the son of Charlie and Patty Gorsun of South Berwick,Maine.
