2019-20: Played in 25 games as a sophomore…averaged 10.6 minutes per game while scoring an average of two points per game with a 31.6% (18-57) shooting percentage…23.7% (9-38) from the three-point range…in the game vs. Suffolk University on Feb. 4th she scored eight points and was two-for-two from the three-point range…in the next game on Feb. 8th in the win against University of Saint Joseph’s Conn. Giardina scored 10 points and shot 57.1% (4-7) from the floor.

2018-19: Played in 18 games as a freshman averaging 6.7 minutes per game... averaged 1.8 points per game while shooting 33.3% from the field and 35% from the three point line... averaged 1.1 assists per game... scored her first varsity points in win over Eastern Nazarene on nov. 9th... in a win over St. Joseph's College (Conn.) on Jan. 12th she scored six points on 2-4 shooting from the three-point line while also adding three assists and two rebounds.

Why Saint Joseph's? I decided to attend SJC because I believe it will provide a great college experience, academically and athletically, for my next four years. I love the beautiful campus, as well as the friendly environment. I look forward to returning to the state of Maine!

High School: Played basketball, volleyball, and softball at Sarasota High School…Scored 1,676 career points…Named as 3A Player of the Year and earned All-Area Team and All-Conference honors…Helped her team make two Final Four appearances…Academically, earned Highest Merit and Dean's List (Dual Enrolled) mention…Played AAU for Premier Sports (two seasons) and BAE Sports (one season) and received several All-Tournament Team awards.

Community Service: Performed 95 community service hours (reading with elementary students, student instructor at basketball camps, volunteered in nursery at Good Life Church, volunteered at an assisted living facility and nursing homes)

Personal: Sophie Kay Giardina, daughter of Joseph and Kathryn Giardina…Has two siblings, Joey and Andy.
