2022: Played in 25 matches and 42 sets overall as a senior…Registered 40 kills and 31 digs…Posted a career-high seven digs versus Johnson & Wales on October 29th…Finished her career with 75 kills and 51 digs in 50 matches (83 sets).
2021: Played in 18 matches and 34 total sets as a junior...logged 34 kills, 20 digs and seven block assists...set career-highs in kills (9), attacks (21), attack percentage (.381) and digs (4) at University of New England on September 23rd...posted six kills in a win at Anna Maria College on October 12th.
2019: Played in seven matches and seven sets as a freshman outside hitter…had a kill against Anna Maria College on Oct. 5th and a blocked a shot on the same day when facing Norwich University.
Why Saint Joseph's? I fell in love with how it felt when I went on my first tour and when I came back later it was confirmed that Saint Joseph's is where I would like to be.
High School: Played volleyball and softball at Deering High School…Earned varsity letters and was chosen as the John Cassavola Sportsmanship Award recipient…Played Maine Juniors for seven years…Listed on the Academic Honor Roll.
Community Service: Participated in Key Club at Deering High for two years and for her senior project hosted a walk in the Deering Center area to raise money for the Thirst Project to benefit the global water crisis.
Personal: Catherine Anita Balzano, Daughter of Jennifer and Tony Balzano…Has two siblings, Anthony and Angela.
