NEWTON, MA – Saint Joseph's College (4-11, 1-1 GNAC) showed resilience but ultimately suffered a 3-0 (19-25, 19-25, 18-25) defeat at the hands of Lasell University (12-3,6-0 GNAC) in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's volleyball match on Thursday night.
After opening the match with a 19-25 first-set loss, the Monks faced a 25-19 and 25-18 set losses. St. Joe's posted a .225 attack rate with 36 kills on the evening – including nine from Victoria Briones (El Paso, Texas) and six from Hanna Webster (Alvin, Texas) and Larissa Comolli.
