STANDISH, Maine – The 21st Saint Joseph's College Athletics Hall of Fame Class has been announced. Morgan Cahill '16, Amber Dostie '15, Coach Rupert Lewis, Zach O'Brien '12, Ryan Prescott '09 will be inducted into the Hall of Fame with a ceremony at the Stone Barn on the SJC campus on Friday, October 4th, 2024.

One of the best post players in SJC women's basketball history, Morgan Cahill is the only player in program history to lead the team in scoring and rebounding for four-consecutive years. In 110 career games, Cahill remains among the Monks' all-time leaders in blocked shots (222, 1st), field goals made (662, 2nd), points (1,651, 3rd), field goals attempted (1,414, 3rd), rebounds (876, 5th), free throws made (327, 5th), free throws attempted (479, 5th), rebounding average (8.0, 7th), and scoring average (15.0, 8th). The 6'0 center earned 64 individual accolades during her career, including 2016 NEWBA Second Team All-Region, 2016 D3hoops.com Third Team All-New England, four All-Conference honors, four All-State nods, and the 2013 GNAC and MWBCA Rookie of the Year awards. Cahill helped the Monks win a pair of GNAC Championships (2014, 2016) and post a 78-33 (.703) overall record, including a 35-10 (.778) mark in conference play, during her college career.

Amber Dostie recorded perhaps the best running career in SJC women's cross country and track & field history. During her cross-country career, Dostie competed in 27 total events - finishing as the top SJC runner in all but one - with eight victories and 15 top-10 performances overall. She posted sub-20 times in eight different races and left the program owning six of the top-10 times in the history of SJC Women's Cross Country, a list that includes the top overall effort (18:30) and three of the best four performances all-time. As a top distance runner for the track team, Dostie held the Monks' indoor records for the 1000-Meter, 600-Meter and 400-Meter and the outdoor marks for the 5000-Meter, 1500-Meter, 800-Meter, and 3000-Meter steeplechase upon graduation in 2015.

During his 19 seasons roaming the sidelines at Saint Joseph's College, Coach Rupert Lewis is the winningest coach in field hockey program history. Winning 224 career contests, Lewis guided the field hockey program to four consecutive conference championships between 2016 and 2019. In a ten year stretch from 2009 to 2019, Lewis was named 'Coach of the Year' on five occasions. In his seven years (2008 & 2009, 2015 - 2019) leading the women's lacrosse program, the Monks made their first-ever NCAA tournament appearance in 2015, the first of two consecutive perfect (9-0) regular seasons in the GNAC.

An outstanding swing player for the SJC men's basketball program, Zach O'Brien was a four-year starter for the Monks. In 106 career games, he scored 1,533 points with 497 rebounds, 365 assists, and 109 steals and – as of 2022 - ranks seventh in team history in field goals made (585), field goals attempted (1277), and free throw percentage (78.5%), and ninth in points, and 11th in assists. O'Brien was a three-time All-Conference honoree who claimed a pair of All-State honors and garnered 2009 Maine All-Rookie Team and 2012 GNAC All-Tournament Team accolades. O'Brien helped the Monks post a 78-32 (.709) overall record, including a 54-18 (.750) mark in GNAC play, with a GNAC Championship in 2009.

The two-time GNAC Runner of the Year, Ryan Prescott '09 finished as the top SJC runner in 21 consecutive races, winning four meets and placing in the top ten on 20 occasions. Also a two-year captain for the men's lacrosse team, Prescott set the program's single-season record for ground balls (65). 

With the addition of the 2024 honorees, the list of accomplished athletes, teams, coaches, administrators, and philanthropists inducted in the SJC Athletics Hall of Fame grows to 111.
