- The Colby Mules used a 10-4 run in the final three minutes of
play to secure a 54-49 win over Saint Joseph's College. Colby
improves to 8-13 while the Monks drop to 7-12.
St. Joe's held a slim 27-26 lead going into the
break and battled through four lead changes in the second
half. Junior Tracy Nale (Waterville, ME) put Colby up by 4
after knocking down a three pointer with 2:59 to play.
Sophomore Katie McCabe (Watertown, CT) led all scores with 19
points and 8 boards while senior Alanna Balboni (Rye, NH) had 14
points and 16 boards for the Mules.
Sophomore Megan
Farrell (Abington, MA) had 11 points and 3 steals
for St. Joe's and sophomore Yoandree
Pierre-Jacques (Providence, RI) recorded her
second double-double of the season with 10 points and 14 boards.
Senior Danielle
Somma (Gray, ME) turned in a tremendous defensive
effort and chipped in with 6 points and two steals while first year
Alysn Ludwig (Waldoboro, ME) had
7 points, 4 assists, 3 boards and an assist. First year
Sarah Banks (Swans Island, ME) scored 5 points in
her first intercollegiate start.
Saint Joseph 's College hosts the University of New
England on Thursday, 2/9 at 5:30 p.m.
