Waterville, ME - The SJC Volleyball team was on a mission to end a 5-match losing skid and on Wednesday night against Thomas College they accomplished their goal. The Monks (4-16, 0-7 GNAC) defeated the Terriers (0-12) in three straight sets 30-27, 30-29, 30-19 for a much needed victory.

SJC was led by SO Monique Lajoie (Nashua, NH), who posted yet another stellar match with 4 aces, 10 kills and an incredible 19 digs. FY Mary Hoyt (Rochester, NH) chipped in with 3 aces and 8 kills. SO Marcie Gowan (Plymouth, NH) added 8 digs and SR Brooke Perry (Biddeford, ME) posted 5 kills and 3 aces in the winning effort.

The Monks will travel to Castine, ME Saturday 10/13 to take on Maine-Machias (12:30) and Maine Maritime (2:00) in the Maine Maritime Tri-match.
