STANDISH, ME - Sophomore guard Carolyn
Freeman (Scarborough, ME/McAuley HS) has been
named the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association Player of
the Week. Freeman shot just under 50% (17-36) from the field and
48% (10-21) from beyond the arc in a 2-0 week for St. Joe's. The
sophomore sharpshooter averaged 24 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.5
steals per game in victories over GNAC opponents Simmons College
and Mount Ida College. Freeman scored a season-high 25 points and
grabbed 11 boards in the convincing win over Mount Ida.
