STANDISH, ME - GNAC foe Emmanuel College (4-3, 2-0 GNAC) defeated Saint Joseph's (2-10, 0-2) in three sets on Saturday evening (25-17, 25-16, 25-18). Freshman Samantha Varrell (Portsmouth, NH) had 12 assists and eight digs in the loss.

Freshman Katie Boccanelli (Cottonwood, AL) had nine kills and Kaila Schulte '12 (Rochester, NH) recorded eight digs in the conference setback.

For the Saints, Kathryne Olsen '12 (Fairhaven, MA) notched 21 assists and teammate Lindsey Parker '09 (New Bedford, MA) chipped in with 14 kills.

Saint Joseph's will travel to Cambridge, MA to face off against non-conference opponent Lesley University on Tuesday, September 16th for a 7:30 PM match. Emmanuel will host Eastern Nazarene College on Tuesday at 7:00 PM.
