STANDISH, ME - Norwich University (6-0, 1-0 GNAC) defeated Saint Joseph's College (2-9, 0-1 GNAC) 3-0 (25-14, 38-36, 25-10) on Saturday afternoon. Freshman Samantha Varrell (Portsmouth, NH) paced the Lady Monks with 18 assists and teammate Laura Moreau '12 (Rollinsford, NH) recorded nine digs in the three-set loss.

Katie Boccanelli '12 (Cottonwood, AL) and Kaila Schulte '12 (Rochester, NH) both notched eight digs and six kills in the losing bid.

Norwich sophomore setter Molly Rice (Sunapee, NH) posted a double-double effort with 26 assists and 17 digs in the conference win over Saint Joseph's.

The Lady Monks are set to host GNAC foe Emmanuel College this evening at 5:00 PM.
