BANGOR, ME - Saint Joseph's (13-10, 3-3 GNAC) defeated Husson (9-12), 3-1, in a non-conference volleyball match on Wednesday evening. Sarah Hawkes '13 (Pownal, ME) posted another outstanding performance with 9 kills, 16 digs, 6 total blocks and 4 service aces to go with a .333 attack percentage in the victory.

The Monks captured the first set, 26-24, and fell in the second, (15-25), before rattling off a pair of set wins (25-23, 25-15) to earn the win on the road.

Caitlin Cleary '13 (Scarborough, ME) notched 11 digs, 6 kills and 3 aces and Kiah Begley '13 (Berwick, ME/St. Thomas Aquinas) recorded 26 assists, 6 digs and 3 aces for the Monks. Jordan Pelczar '12 (Meredith, NH) added 7 digs and 3 aces and Karen King '12 (Scarborough, ME) chipped in with 6 digs.

Saint Joseph's will hit the court again on Friday when the Monks play at UMass-Boston in a match set to start at 6:00 PM.
