BIDDEFORD, ME - University of New England (9-15) defeated Saint Joseph's (14-16, 3-7 GNAC) 25-22, 25-15, 25-22 in a women's volleyball match on Tuesday evening. Kiah Begley '13 (Berwick, ME/St. Thomas Aquinas) notched 25 assists and 11 digs for the Monks in the losing effort.

For St. Joe's, Sarah Hawkes '13 (Pownal, ME) recorded a match-high 10 kills and 4 blocks and Samantha Varrell '12 (Portsmouth, NH) netted 5 kills and 11 digs. Caitlin Cleary '13 (Scarborough, ME) added nine digs and Kaleigh McHale '12 (Dracut, MA) chipped in with eight digs.

Saint Joseph's will host Southern Maine on Thursday at 7:00 PM while UNE will close out the season on Saturday with a TCCC tri-match against Anna Maria and host Gordon College.
