BOSTON, MA – Emerson College (19-8, 8-1 GNAC) topped Saint Joseph's (15-10, 4-4 GNAC), 3-0, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference Volleyball match on Thursday evening.

Emerson, the defending GNAC Champion, bested St. Joe's by 25-15, 25-18 and 26-24 scores at Plofker Gym partially as a result of 17 SJC reception errors.

Sarah Hawkes '13 (Pownal, ME) paced the Royal Blue with nine kills and added 12 digs, while Kiah Begley '13 (Berwick, ME/Saint Thomas Aquinas) notched 15 assists and five digs in the losing effort. Sarah Coffey '14 (Hanover, MA) chipped in with a team-high 13 digs and four kills for Saint Joseph's.

St. Joe's will host a GNAC tri-match this Saturday, as Albertus Magnus and Emmanuel College make their way to Standish for 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM matches, respectively, against the Monks. The Falcons and Saints will face off in the middle match at 3:00 PM.
