FRANKLIN, Mass. – Saint Joseph's College (8-15, 2-4 GNAC) topped Dean College (3-19, 1-7 GNAC), 3-1 (25-19, 25-17, 23-25, 25-12) in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's volleyball match on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Monks boasted 47 kills and 17 service aces in the four-set match and held the lead for all but one service in the 25-19 opening-set victory. Holding a 16-15 edge midway through the second set, St. Joe's notched a 9-2 run to secure the 2-0 match lead. The Bulldogs battled through 16 tie scores and seven lead changes to claim the third set by a 25-23 margin.

In the fourth set, the Monks registered a .304 attack percentage with 12 kills in 23 attempts in a runaway 25-12 triumph to secure the 3-1 match victory.

MILESTONE MET:

Senior Hanna Holden (Stoughton, Mass.) notched the 1,500th assist of her career in tonight's victory. She now has 1,511 helpers in 84 matches (303 sets) for an average of 4.99 assists per set and is just the fifth player in program history to surpass the milestone.

LEADERS – SAINT JOSEPH'S:

• Sophomore Maggie Sylvester (Barrington, N.H.) posted 12 kills on 30 attempts with eight digs and three block assists
• Freshman Nadia Sixto (Chattanooga, Tenn.) notched eight kills and a pair of block assists
• First-year Victoria Briones (El Paso, Texas) added seven kills, four aces, and 12 digs
• Senior Isabel Philbrick (Milford, N.H.) chipped in with six kills, two digs, and three block assists
• Freshman Heather Darby (Shrewsbury, Mass.) contributed five kills on seven attempts with a pair of digs
• Holden produced two kills, four aces, 26 assists, 13 digs, and three block assists
• Sophomore Hanna Webster (Alvin, Texas) posted four kills, 10 digs, and two block assists

• Emily Ball paced the Bulldogs with six kills
• Bella Driscoll posted a double-double with 18 assists and 10 digs
• Caitlin Cooper added five kills, two digs, and a pair of solo blocks
• Lena Muraski registered four kills and 10 digs
• Mandi Payne recorded three kills and 13 digs
