PAXTON, Mass. – Saint Joseph's College (12-7, 8-0 GNAC) routed Anna Maria College (8-10, 3-6 GNAC), 78-43, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's basketball action on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Monks trailed after the first few possessions but rattled off 15 unanswered points as part of a 26-4 run that saw the visitors hold a 28-10 cushion after sophomore Elisabeth Stapelfeld (Brookline, N.H.) made two free throws with 7:55 left in the second quarter.

Leading 42-20 at halftime, Saint Joseph's managed to attain a game-high 42-point (72-30) lead after senior Hailey Anderson (Beverly, Mass.) hit a three-pointer with 8:54 remaining in the fourth frame.

STATS OF THE GAME:

Led by Anderson's 5-for-6 effort from downtown, the Monks netted a season-high 12 three-pointers in today's victory…St. Joe's scored 32 points off 18 Anna Maria turnovers and held a 26-8 lead in bench points versus the AMCATS.

LEADERS – SAINT JOSEPH'S:

• Senior Angelica Hurley (Groveland, Mass.) tallied 14 points, nine rebounds, and six assists
• Sophomore Grace Ramsdell (Wells, Maine) contributed 16 points, seven boards, and two steals
• Anderson came off the bench to net 15 points on 5-of-6 three-point shooting in just 14 minutes
• Stapelfeld was 4-for-6 from the floor, and 3-for-5 from downtown, with 15 points

LEADERS – ANNA MARIA:

• Marinique Reddin paced the AMCATS with a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds while picking up four steals and three assists in the losing effort
• Madison Paulhus chipped in with eight points, five boards, and two steals

HISTORICALLY SPEAKING:

With the victory Saint Joseph's remains undefeated – with a 16-0 all-time record – versus Anna Maria College.
