CONCORD, N.H. -The Monks finished second at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships hosted by NEC at the Concord Country Club in Concord, New Hampshire on Tuesday, coming in second out of eight teams. The Monks were defeated by the Pilgrims who won by 26 strokes.
Saint Joseph's finished with 646 (+86). The Monks were led by
Drew Mathieu (+15) and
Braden Camire (+17)
, who carded a 155 and 157 for fourth and fifth place, respectively. Mathieu finished 4th of 40 while Camire's performance put him in 5th place.
Drew Mathieu and
Braden Camire were named GNAC First-Team All Conference members.
Finishing third for the Monks and 13th of 40 was
Zach Stone (+25).
Alex Beecher finished 18th/40 and fourth for the Monks. Beecher was named for the Monks to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
The Monks will compete next weekend in the 89th Annual NEIGA Championship in Brewster, MA.
