WINTHROP. Mass. –After finishing fifth in the regular season standings, the St. Joseph's College men's soccer team saw several players receive recognition in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) postseason honors, as announced by the league office.
Senior midfielder Rion Dos Santos (São Paulo, Brazil) was voted All-GNAC First Team for the third time after finishing the season with six goals and five assists. For the Monks, Dos Santos led the team in assists and points and was tied for goals. Does Santos played in 10 matches for the Monks, including nine starts. Dos Santos earned GNAC Player of the Week Honor Roll accolades 9/15/24 and 10/6/24.
Senior forward Gus Ford (Falmouth, Maine) was voted All-GNAC Second Team after finishing the season with six goals and one assist.Ford received GNAC Player of the Week Honor Roll accolades the week of 9/22/24. Ford tied for leading the team in goals and recorded a team-high of 43 shots. Ford started in all 19 matches for the Monks.
Sophomore defender Diego Robinson (Hinesburg, Vermont) was voted All-GNAC Third Team after finishing the season with one goal and one assist. Robinson was previously named All-GNAC Second Team and Rookie Team in 2023.
Senior goalkeeper Liam Foley was voted All-GNAC Third Team after finishing the season with an 8-8-3 record with a 0.781 save percentage. Foley received GNAC Goalkeeper of the weeks honors the week of 9/1/24, 10/28/24, and 11/4/24. Foley secured seven shutouts with a career-high 12 saves vs Babson.
Sophomore Kyle Clairmont has been selected to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Soccer All-Sportsmanship Team. Clairmont started in 15 of the team's 19 matches this season, while recording two assists.
The Saint Joseph's College men's soccer team finished the season 8-8-3 overall, including a 7-52 mark within the GNAC.
