Standish, ME - Freshman Gustavo Marques (Lowell, MA) gave the visiting Raiders a 1-0 victory over St. Joe's today. The Monks stand at 4-4 and Rivier College improves to (3-2-1).

St. Joe's out-shot the Raiders 15-11 and held a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks, but were unable to convert on scoring opportunities. In the 72nd minute, Marques drove the left side of the box and beat freshman goalkeeper Greg Cavanaugh (Haverhill, MA) for the game winner.

Senior Victor Joubert (Haverhill, MA) had 5 saves for Rivier and Cavanaugh finished with 3.
