Boston, MA - The Monks picked up their first win of the season with a 2-1 decision over GNAC opponent Emmanuel College on Saturday. FR Banak Thiwat (Cape Elizabeth, ME) netted the game winner for St. Joe's.

Michael Evans put Emmanuel up 1-0 with a goal less than two minutes into the match. FR Paul Robins (Cornwall, England) answered back with an SJC goal at 18:35.

The Saints held an 8-2 advantage in shots for the half, but the score remained deadlocked until the 80th minute.

Thiwat scored the deciding goal at 79:25. SO Cory Smith (Ellsworth, ME) had five saves for the Monks.
