the 62nd minute, to propel Saint Joseph's (10-6-1, 6-2
GNAC) past Emmanuel (3-13, 1-7-1) in GNAC men's soccer on Saturday
afternoon.

(Gorham, ME) made three saves to collect his ninth shutout of the
fall and break his own single-season record, which he set last
year. The senior netminder now has 17 career shutouts in less than
two seasons at Saint Joseph's and has allowed just three goals in
his last 638 minutes of play.
St. Joe's outshot Emmanuel by a 10-5 margin and held a 4-2
advantage in corner kicks in the conference conquest.
Saints keeper Patrick Froass '12 (Oneida, NY) made three stops
in the losing effort.
The SJC defensive effort has been stout all season long, as the
Monks led the GNAC in fewest goals allowed (15) and goals allowed
per game (0.97) as of October 19th.
St. Joe's will play at Amherst College on Sunday at 2:30 PM. The
Lord Jeffs were ranked fifth in New England in the latest NSCAA
Poll.
With the loss, Emmanuel completes its 2009 campaign.
